Wedding Wednesday: Matrimony at Marbella

Nestled in the rolling hills of San Juan Capistrano, surrounded by their closest loved ones, two families became one. It was truly a gorgeous day to celebrate love at one of Orange County's most beautiful and unique Mediterranean inspired venues. 

Elegant Romance

It was a romantic style wedding with soft elegant accents. From the pastel pink bridesmaids dresses to the brides half up-do with long soft curls. Every detail was given extra special attention. We are in love with the brides twisted braid  and how it is paired with the perfect jeweled hair accessory. This style is the perfect compliment to her natural romantic glow makeup palette.

Amazing Joker Glam look by one of our makeup artists, Natalie, along with some of her techniques and tips. 

Techniques to get this look: "I don't usually carry fake blood in my kit, so I make use of the products that I do have. I LOVE my OCC Lip Tar red liquid lipstick, mixed with a dab of black cream liner for a dark & dirty effect add some clear lip gloss, and just apply to the wound."

Artist Tip: "Big thick lashes are the icing on the cake for any Halloween inspired look."

Technique to get this look: "I like to use Sanazaroo face paints first and then I use the naked palette to blur details so that they will look more realistic." 

Artist Tip: "Use coconut oil first when removing any Halloween makeup. Then always cleanse the face afterwards to prevent getting any clogged pores."

What to Know to Get the Glow

Every Brides desires that Bridal Glow on her wedding day. All eyes are on the Bride and who doesn't want that envious look as they walk down the aisle???  Whether you are one year or only one month away from saying "I Do," it's important to implement a skincare regiment that will help get your skin glowing! We've put together our favorite 4 tips so you have the 'know' to get that Bridal 'GLOW!' 

1. Get Pampered:

Preparing for your wedding is a perfect excuse to pencil some facials into your busy schedule. Depending on how soon your wedding is, bi-weekly or monthly facials will help to exfoliate your skin a boost blood circulation. They are also helpful with reducing stress, which can be an added plus to your matrimony madness. 

2. Go on a skin-healthy diet:

It's important to know that it is just as critical to take care of your skin from the outside, as it is to care for it from the inside. Make sure you incorporate foods with lots of rich vitamins and antioxidants. Foods such as grapefruit, carrots, apricots, green vegetables and tomatoes are all very good for your skin. Also, drink lots of water, fresh fruit juice or coconut water and watch the extra hydration transform your skin. Try to avoid junk food, foods high in sodium, caffeine and alcohol. 

3. Skin-loving Supplements:

There are lots of benefits to implementing some over the counter supplements in your pre-wedding diet.  The most common are Biotin (has positive effects to strengthen your hair, skin and nails), Omega-3 fatty acids & Vitamin D (helps to regulate hormones, great for your heart, eyes, brain & skin), B vitamins ( can boost energy and metabolism) and Melatonin (will help you get your pre-wedding rest). 

4. Beauty Sleep:

All the skin regiments, supplements and nutritious foods won't help if you aren't getting enough sleep. Your skin is your largest organ and it needs regular rest to stay healthy. Eight hours is ideal, but you will also need to listen to what your body needs, as it may occasionally need more rest.

Fields of Love Engagement

We are absolutely in love with these romantic engagement pictures! This gorgeous Bride-to-Be was so much fun to work with we were thrilled to share in her special pre-wedding fun! You can't help but stare at her natural glowing look. Her makeup is by our amazing artist Diane and Hair is by our very talented artist Elizabeth. 

This was a perfect setting for photographer, Brittany Custer @brittanycusterphoto, to capture these precious moments. With their sights set on their special day, which is booked to be at the Franciscan gardens in San Juan Capistrano next summer, this Bride will be busy planning and working on her IG foodie & skincare/makeup blog. We can't wait to see which styles she will use for her bridal look. Stay tuned!

Warm Winter Engagement

Love is patient, love is kind, love is BEAUTIFUL! This Belle Bride-to-Be absolutely took our breath away with her stunning engagement photos. Her blonde braid crowns her soft curls by our hair artist Meghan and is a perfect compliment above her stunning smokey eyes by our makeup artist Diane.  From their natural background at Wiley Winderness Park in Coto de Cazo to the oceanic setting at Table Rock Beach in Laguna Beach; this couple truly found the best of both worlds when it comes to capturing the beauty of what Southern California has to offer. You'd never expect it was a cool mid-December day, as you can almost feel the warmth of their love between them.
